Dataset

Description

This dataset provides daily hydrology and meteorological variables for about a collection of CMIP5 and CMIP6 downscaled model simulations over the Columbia river basin. It was designed to use a large number of ensembles from the CMIP5 and CMIP6 archives to sample unobserved decadal variability to improve our understanding of rare but extreme flood events. The CMIP models were downscaled using the Intermediate Complexity Atmospheric Research model (ICAR) to a 6 km grid. This dataset was further bias corrected for use in the SUMMA hydrology model to project variability in runoff, and routed with the mizuRoute streamflow model to project river flow volumes along the channel network.
