George McCabe is a Software Engineer III at the National Science Foundation National Center for Atmospheric Research (NSF NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado. Working within the Research Applications Laboratory (RAL), George has played a pivotal role in advancing atmospheric science projects such as METplus (Enhanced Model Evaluation Tools), In-Flight Icing (IFI), I-WRF, and High Ice Water Content (HIWC). He specializes in C++ and Python development, with a focus on CI/CD workflows, containerization (Docker/Apptainer), and cybersecurity compliance. Notably, George leads the development of the METplus Wrappers and manages a sophisticated regression testing infrastructure that orchestrates complex datasets and environments across more than 130 use cases.
