Biography
Julie Prestopnik has been a Software Engineer in the Research Applications Laboratory (RAL) since 2004.
She is a lead contributor to Model Evaluation Tools (MET) and METplus software packages which evaluate the quality of Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) model output.
She co-leads the community pillar for FastEddy®, NCAR’s large-eddy simulation model.
She leads the CSF Software Practice Exchange Committee, a collaborative effort drawing input from across NSF NCAR to identify effective approaches and lessons learned in scientific software development.
