    Kristen Krumhardt is an Project Scientist in the Oceanography section of the Climate and Global Dynamics laboratory. She works on modeling biology in the ocean, specifically phytoplankton and zooplankton dynamics, and contributes to development of the ocean ecosystem model in the Community Earth System Model (CESM). Her current research is focused on analyzing how climate change and variability influence phytoplankton and zooplankton productivity, and how this impacts the ocean carbon cycle and higher trophic levels, such as fish. Kristen has a background in scientific illustration, marine biology, and environmental studies.
