    Personal profile

    Research interests

I am an Earth System scientist with an interdisciplinary research focus spanning the atmosphere, cryosphere, and hydrosphere. My work integrates climate data analysis, numerical modeling, and GIS tools to explore interactions among these components of the Earth system.

One of my current research areas centers on high-altitude climates, with a particular focus on mountain glaciers, glacio-hydrology, and snow processes. This work aims to improve the representation of hydrologic and cryospheric systems in Earth System Models (ESMs), enhancing their usability for water resources and geohazard assessments. I am also interested in evaluating uncertainty, variability, and predictability of hydroclimatic processes in complex terrain environments.

    Professional Information

I also have a professional background in geotechnical engineering, water resources management, hazard assessment, and regional hydroclimatic analysis. As a civil engineer and water resources professional in Pakistan, I have contributed to projects on transboundary water cooperation in the Indus River Basin; water insecurity in industrial urban areas; disaster risk management planning; irrigation master planning for high-altitude dam command areas; and design of small dams.
