Research interests
With a background in ecology and soil biogeochemistry I'm interested in improving how we think about and represent terrestrial ecosystems in Earth system models that are used for global change projections. I am also interested in learning more about plant-soil-mineral interactions and have developed novel soil biogeochemistry models, like MIMICS (the MIcrobial-MIneral Carbon Stabilization model), to help investigate this topic. Currently, I am a co-Chair for the Land Model Working Group, helping to lead land model development in the Community Earth System Model.
