Abstract
During the afternoon and evening hours of May 20 1977 several severe convective storms occurred in the vicinity of the NSSL doppler radar network in central Oklahoma. These tornadic storms persisted for several hours and were observed with up to four radars over significant portions of their lifetimes. The dynamics of the interaction of two storms are investigated. These are the Del City storm and the Hailstorm. Use was made of a joint evaluation of doppler radar data and numerical model simulations.
