Abstract

A thorough text covering all aspects of climate dynamics and the issues involved in the predication of climate change. The primary concepts involved are explained, and the mathematical, physical, chemical and biological basis for the component models are discussed. The book aims to go beyond climate models to include all aspects of the climate system: the atmosphere; ocean; cryosphere; biosphere and terrestrial ecosystems, land surface processes, hydrosphere; and the interactions between these components. The 23 individually authored chapters are organised into six parts. -S.J.Stone
