Abstract
The SRCV98 study detailed the effects of turbulence on spatial distribution of cloud droplets and their growth by the diffusion of water vapor inside adiabatic cores of convective clouds. SRCV98 obtained droplet spectra significantly wider than predicted by a classic parcel model. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate that the analysis of SRCV98 is likely to exaggerate the role of turbulence in the diffusional growth of cloud droplets inside adiabatic cores of convective clouds.
