Abstract

In the text in sections 3.2 and 4.1, ‘12–119 Tg OC + BC’, which summarizes the results in table 1, should be ‘12–119 Gg OC + BC’. The units in table 1 are correct. In table 1, the GFEDv4s agricultural-only emissions should say 6297 Gg CO2 rather than 6397 Gg CO2. We would also like to clarify that the total emissions budgets in table 1 are calculated separately for Punjab and Haryana at a coarse 0.5° × 0.5° spatial resolution (except for FINNv1.5, at its native 1-km resolution) to provide first-order approximations of the differences among the five inventories. The corrected version of table 1 is reproduced below.
