Abstract
Comparisons between wind tunnel data and the RUSTIC/MESO models are presented. To simplify computation, RUSTIC combines the continuity and thermodynamic equations into a single pressure tendency equation. RUSTIC and MESO show promise as a valuable tool set for the prediction of urban dispersion. For the wind tunnel test discussed, the models do a respectable job of predicting the dispersion around an L-shaped building with a complex emission source.
