Abstract

A new technique that exploits physical constraints for improved accuracy in volume reconstruction of the terrestrial plasmasphere's plasma density is presented. The goal of the work is to support volume reconstruction given a small number of 2D external views from locally close viewing positions. The technique is aimed at allowing exploitation of time-series 2D image data from the EUV sensor on NASA's IMAGE satellite. Reconstruction quality benchmarking results on synthetic data are also presented.
