    Abstract

McGill University maintains radar equipment for routine monitoring at two sites. These radars are UHF wind profiler, X-band radar and Doppler weather radar. The UHF profiler obtains Doppler beam swinging (DBS) wind measurements approximately every 4 minutes. The X-band radar obtains reflectivity measurements every 2 seconds. A large surveillance Doppler weather radar can operate in the S and X bands and completes a scanning cycle every 5 minutes. All radars occasionally observe wave-like structures.
