    Abstract

A systematic examination of the behavior of cold surges over a six month period was carried out. In-situ and remote sensing measurements were taken at the Boulder (Colorado) Atmospheric Observatory (BAO). Results indicate that there is a wide variation in frontal updrafts associated with cold surges.
