Abstract
Multigrid is a powerful numerical tool for solving a variety of engineering problems. We motivate the use of the technique, introduce its theoretical basis, provide a step‐by‐step procedure for its use, and present examples. We include a tutorial MATLAB program, which allows the user to experiment with the technique for a typical problem.
