Abstract
The numerical study of multi-frequency dual-polarization microwave radiometry technique for supercooled liquid water detection was presented. The multi-frequency TB simulations for liquid and mixed phase clouds was shown. Results showed that the difference in TB at linear polarization was sensitive to the frequency and mean particle size. The preliminary model calculations suggested TB measurements 150 GHz was more sensitive to mixed phase cloud detection.
