Physical properties of cobalt dugganites Pb3TeCo3P2O14 and Pb3TeCo3As2O14

Abstract

The electron spin resonance, dielectric permittivity, magnetic susceptibility, magnetization and specific heat of Pb3TeCo3P2O14 and Pb3TeCo3As2O14 dugganites were studied in static and pulsed magnetic fields in the wide range of temperatures. In contrast to Pb3TeCo3V2O14 dugganite, where magnetically ordered state is reached through succession of two phase transitions, the P and As compounds order antiferromagnetically at single temperature TN = 12.8 and 16.7 K, respectively. The quantum ground state in dugganites is quite sensitive to external magnetic field showing successions of the field-induced phase transitions. While the physical properties of Pb3TeCo3P2O14 were earlier investigated in some details, no information was available on relevant properties of Pb3TeCo3As2O14. The present study revealed similar trends in behavior of P and As compounds.
