Abstract
An approach has been developed for real-time analysis of airborne dual-Doppler radar data. The approach has been developed based on work performed over the past 4-5 years on ground-based real-time dual-Doppler radar analysis. The approach is to place airborne radar data on an earth-relative grid as the aircraft flies along. This grid will form the basis from an enhanced aircraft track display that can include displays of in-situ and satellite data as well as the 3-D radar data product.
