Abstract
Working Group 1, Panel 2 of the SCOSTEP International Solar Cycle Study ISCS has had two main thrusts. The first has been the Thermospheric / Ionospheric Geospheric Research (TIGER) program. The primary objective of the TIGER program is to provide the scientific community with parameters representing the variable solar EUV/UV and X-ray irradiances as well as the solar wind-originated energy influx that can be used to improve existing and future thermospheric-ionospheric models. This paper will present a report of the recent and future activities of the program. The second thrust of Working Group 1, Panel 2 has been the development of a draft standard for solar irradiance determination for the International Standards Organization (ISO). Designated as ISO CD-21348, this draft standard is currently under review by the member countries. This paper will give a brief overview of the draft standard process and status.
