Abstract
The site preparation and setup of S-band polarimetric radars (S-Pol) has been proven to be extremely economical. For the three field projects, data loss due to hardware failures was virtually nonexistent. Data quality is under intense scrutiny and it is improving. It is expected to reach all expectations by 1998.
