Abstract

The goal of this paper is to provide an intuitive approach to switch sizing in SC circuits, focusing primarily on the MDAC of a pipelined ADC. Theory and simulation show that properly choosing the switch resistances to create a critically damped system can reduce the settling time of the circuit.
