Abstract

The thermal and magnetic properties of NaV2O5 were investigated. Thermal properties reflected the complex character of the phase transition near the transition temperature of 34 K. The measurements of the charge ordering, the lattice distortion and the spin gap formation in magnetic excitation spectrum, alongwith the heat conductivity and the thermal expansion were found to profoundly effect the physical properties.
