Abstract

The ground-based Velocity Track Display (GBVTD) technique was implemented during the 1998 hurricane season. Hurricane Earl was the first test case. The GBVTD algorithm was performed for both level-II and level-IV KEVX radar data. GBVTD analysis provided the needed information on the primary circulation.
