Abstract

This chapter illustrates how verification is conducted with operational meteoro- logical ensemble forecasts. It focuses on the main aspects of importance to hydrological applications, such as verification of point and spatial precipitation forecasts, verification of temperature forecasts, verification of extreme meteoro- logical events, and feature-based verification.
