    Research interests

    Marika Holland is an Earth system scientist who studies polar regions and their interactions with the global system. Her research is primarily focused on the role of sea ice, including long-term sea ice change, sea ice predictability, and polar climate variability. She has extensive experience in using Earth system models to study the system and has been active in the development of improved sea ice models for climate simulations.
